Corporate Controller

JOB FUNCTION AND SCOPE

This position oversees and manages the daily operations of the accounting department A/P, A/R and payroll and general ledger. To provide support, direction and compliance with the Geberit Internal Control system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Departmental Management (10%)

• Has authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay-off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, and discipline employees as needed.

• Establish departmental objectives and evaluate employee performance regularly at least once a year.

• Participate in the Management Review process to evaluate the performance of EQMS.

• Lead the corporate Accounting and Tax function.

• Develop, monitor and control the department budget.

• Directs financial affairs of the CFC Company. (60%)

• Conduct month-end close activities; ensuring activities are completed in accordance within the stated corporate time-frame.

• Manages weekly payroll preparation and performs monthly payroll preparation

• Ensure all accounting is performed in accordance with the Geberit Accounting Manual

• Ensures preparation of all state, local and federal tax filings and payments

• Coordinates annual external audits \u2013 401k and annual financial Audit

• Manages corporate cash

• Directs preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. (15%)

• Review budget proposals and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justifications

• Preparing, coordinating, and processing budgeting, forecasting and planning requirements

• Monitor established budgets monthly providing guidance and assistance where needed to management

• Performs monthly and quarterly reporting. (5%)

• Analyzing and interpreting company operation results, evaluating variances, and assessing the effects on the company operations

• Preparing and managing actual forecast and budget scenarios throughout the course of the year

• Providing daily weekly and monthly reports for corporate management

• Meet all Geberit reporting requirements within stated time-frame

• Direct and manages the Geberit Internal Control System. (5%)

• Ensure full compliance and improvement to company Geberit Internal Control requirements

• Identify and appropriately mitigate known business risks

• Proactively seek and improve any deficiencies

• Set the proper routines to ensure proper controls

• All other duties as assigned (5%)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

Required:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of cost accounting/manufacturing experience
• 7+ years of leadership/management experience
• 7+ years of experience with SAP Operating system
• 7+ years of experience managing accounting functions, AP, AR, Payroll, and CAPEX
• 5+ years of experience managing all aspects of corporate tax including federal, state and local income taxes as well as sales/use tax issues.

Preferred:

• Master's Degree
• CPA

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Possesses ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or technical manuals.
• Ability required in the writing of routine reports, business correspondence, and documenting accounting procedures.
• Ability to effectively create and present information; and respond to questions from employees, and managers.
• Possesses good verbal communication skills

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Possesses good technical and analytical skills.
• Ability to check for accuracy of reports, forms, records and comparable data, where interpretation is required.
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiplies and divides numbers, including decimals and fractions.
• Ability to use complex formulas, charts and tables.

REASONING ABILITIES

• Possesses good problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

While performing the responsibilities of the job the employee must remain stationary approximately 90% of the time. They must frequently move about the office and manufacturing plant to access equipment and communicate with other employees. Occasionally lifts and/or transports office binders, files or boxes weighing up to 10 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the noise level within the office is minimal. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The position will be required to work frequently on the factory floor where hearing, foot and vision protection may be necessary. This position requires up to 10% travel; some of which will be International.
