Job Title: Customer Care Advocate– Life Insurance
Location: Remote including training
Pay Rate: $20/hr Paid Weekly!
Contract Length: 3+ months (Extension/Conversion possible, based on performance, Business need)
Virtual Training & TimelineTraining Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST (30-minute lunch)
Onboarding: First 3 days
Training Dates: March 2, 2026 – April 10, 2026
Nesting Period: April 13, 2026 – April 24, 2026
No time off permitted during training and nestingPost-Training Schedule- Schedules range between 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday
- Schedules are assigned based on training performance and ranking
- Associates will bid on available shifts
Equipment Coordination:
Company-issued equipment provided: Laptop, Two monitors, Keyboard, mouse, and docking station
Equipment must be returned within one week of assignment end
Requirements- Associates living near a company office may be required to report onsite one day per month
- Onsite attendance may also be required if home system or internet issues occur
- High-speed wired internet connection required (500–650 kbps minimum)
- Ethernet connection required; Wi-Fi and hotspots are not allowed
- Quiet, secure workspace free of distractions
- Must be able to use video during interviews, training, coaching, and team meetings
Position Overview
We are seeking Customer Service Representatives to support customers with employer-sponsored Life Insurance policies. This is a fully virtual role, including training, with occasional in-office attendance required for associates who live near a company office or if technical issues prevent working from home.
Responsibilities / Expectations: Respond to customer requests via telephone, providing excellent service to MetLife’s customers who have or are looking to obtain a Life insurance policy through their employer. Customers can work with various companies and associates must rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Processes transactions, prepares correspondence, and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. Below are some common topics associates can expect to discuss with our customers:
- Enrolling or changing their life insurance amount
- Confirm or change beneficiary
- Policy Provisions (how policy works) IE: will it reduce with age, what policy covers, exclusions etc
- How to continue coverage when retired/leave employer
- Status of customer requests
- Billing inquiries
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of call center experience required
- 1–3 years of customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work under direct supervision
- Strong communication, decision-making, and customer service skills
