Under the direction of the Executive Director of Industry Services, the Project Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) and regional corporate partners. The Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating project-based training activities in full compliance with North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) Customized Training Program (CTP) guidelines, while managing project budgets, instructional resources, and administrative operations.
Special Position Requirements and Working Conditions:
Travel & Service Area: Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel regularly throughout the 3-county CCCC service area, with occasional travel outside the service area as required. Occasional after hours may be required.
Physical Mobility & Facility Navigation: Ability to navigate long distances across various industrial, manufacturing, and campus environments. Capability to transport, lift, and maneuver training materials, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds (with reasonable accommodation).
Workplace Safety & Compliance: Willingness and ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during client site visits and training setups, including safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, work gloves, and face masks/respirators as site regulations dictate.
Primary Work Environment: Work is predominantly performed in a climate-controlled, professional office environment during standard business hours (Monday-Friday).
Physical Demands: Requires prolonged periods of sitting, stationary desk work, and continuous computer use. Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and light lifting (typically up to 25 lbs.) associated with office supplies and training materials.
On-Site & Field Hazards: Periodic site visits to partner facilities, industrial sites, and manufacturing plants are required. Potential exposure to industrial workplace environments, fluctuating temperatures, loud machinery, active manufacturing floors, and uneven terrain. Requires strict adherence to safety protocols and the regular use of site-specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, high-visibility gear, and ear protection.

Communication & Presentation: Exceptional verbal, written, and digital communication skills, with demonstrated confidence in delivering engaging presentations during meetings and client briefings.
Project Management: Strong organizational and project management capabilities, including the ability to plan, prioritize, execute, and monitor complex training programs simultaneously.
Software Proficiency: High level of competence in standard productivity tools:
Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced skill in Word, Excel (Expert), and PowerPoint.
Google Workspace: Proficient in Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Calendar, and Forms.
CRM Systems: Knowledge of higher education Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, specifically Slate, for tracking client interactions, project data, and communications.
Banner, NCCCS utilizes to manage:
Customized Training Programs (CTP): Tracking customized training projects, budget management, reporting, and instructor workflows.
