Data Center Technician

Responsibilities: for the Data Center Operations Technician include: Rack, stack, cable, and decommission servers, storage devices, and network hardware within a secure data center environment. Perform hardware troubleshooting, connectivity checks, and basic incident response while escalating complex issues to senior technicians. Assist with equipment refreshes, upgrades, inventory management, and asset tracking efforts. Label, organize, and manage cabling in accordance with data center standards and best practices. Maintain accurate documentation, follow SOPs and change management processes, and support day-to-day data center operations. Required Qualifications for the Data Center Operations Technician include: 1-2+ years of experience in IT support, hardware support, desktop support, data center operations, or a related technical environment. Hands-on experience installing hardware, replacing components, performing cabling and recabling, and supporting basic networking functions. Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, troubleshooting abilities, and clear written and verbal communication. High School Diploma required. Active TS/SCI Clearance required. CompTIA Security+ certification required.
