This position performs technical and customer service duties in support of department operations.
Major Duties
- Processes motor vehicle renewals.
- Processes disabled persons applications.
- Processes motor vehicle transfers.
- Issues license plates, including specialty plates and dealer plates.
- Receives and processes property tax payments.
- Processes refunds.
- Serves as Passport Agent as needed.
- Receives and processes special taxes, including VIT, Hotel/Motel tax, and liquor license renewals.
- Balances the cashbox daily.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of cash management principles.
- Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
- Skill in the provision of customer services.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language and orally in the Spanish language.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Must have at least one ( 1 ) year of work experience.
