QualDerm Partners is actively seeking a committed and knowledgeable Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our Raleigh, NC team. We are a leading provider of skin and aesthetics wellness services, specializing in dermatology, skin cancer treatment, cosmetics, and plastic surgery. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role supporting our clinical staff in delivering outstanding patient care and maintaining efficient clinical operations. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and obtaining detailed medical histories.
- Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures, ensuring availability of medical tools and equipment.
- Perform basic laboratory testing and facilitate specimen collection and processing.
- Maintain precise and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and foster effective communication throughout the office.
- Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and dermatological care instructions.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly related to dermatology.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact empathetically with patients and staff.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software is a plus.
