Desktop Support Technician

Pay Range: $38.82hr - $43.82hr

Job Overview:

Provide desktop support to resolve end-user technical issues in a timely fashion in order to maintain customer satisfaction. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of equipment and applications while working as part of a cross-functional IT infrastructure team supporting both onsite and remote end users.

PURPOSE:

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of equipment and applications, working as part of a cross-functional IT Infrastructure team supporting onsite and remote end users.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide responsive support for end users with deskside and walk-up support issues for PCs, network printers, video conference equipment, and other local IT hardware and software packages.
• Use remote management to assist end users who are working offsite.
• Image new PCs and clients for back-office and manufacturing system use.
• Set up and support cellular devices for end users.
• Maintain inventory control of patch cables, video cables, peripherals, and other IT items.
• Assist in ordering and receiving equipment as required.
• Comply with internal and external regulations and procedures.
• Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited college required.
• High School Diploma/GED with seven (7) years of IT experience may be considered.
• Minimum of two (2) years of IT experience required, preferably in a customer-facing role.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience, including desktop and laptop PCs, barcode scanners, and AV systems is a plus.
• Experience with applications such as MS Office and Teams is a plus.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow is a plus.
• Experience with iPhone and iPad support is a plus.
• IT Utilities operational experience is a plus.
• CompTIA A+ certification is a plus.
• CompTIA Network+ certification is a plus.
• GxP Pharmaceutical Environment Experience is a plus.
• Operational experience providing hands-on support for end-user technical issues in an operating facility is a plus.
