Development ManagerOur client is a privately held, high-growth real estate investment and development platform focused on retail, mixed-use, and urban infill projects across major Texas markets. With an expanding pipeline and active capital deployment, the business offers a dynamic environment with meaningful responsibility and upside.The Development Manager will play a critical, execution-focused role supporting a growing development platform, reporting directly to senior leadership. This position offers hands-on ownership across multiple projects simultaneously, with exposure spanning design management, entitlements, and construction delivery. It is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong, detail-oriented professional seeking to accelerate within an active, scaling pipeline. The Development Manager will partner closely with the senior development lead to drive project execution across a diverse pipeline:Manage day-to-day execution across 3-5 active development and redevelopment projectsLead design coordination with architects, engineers, and consultants from concept through constructionOversee due diligence and entitlement processes, including municipal approvals and site feasibilityBuild and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking milestones across design, permitting, and constructionMonitor development budgets, manage cost tracking, and coordinate change orders and construction financialsPartner with construction teams and general contractors to ensure timely, on-budget deliveryCollaborate cross-functionally with leasing, asset management, and investment teams to support broader portfolio performanceMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.For the Development Manager we are seeking:4-8 years of experience in commercial real estate development, construction, or a related fieldBackground in development, or architecture transitioning into development, or construction/project management within commercial real estate. Must have some development exposure.Proven experience managing projects through execution phases, including design, entitlements, and constructionStrong technical and design literacy, with the ability to engage effectively with architects and consultantsWorking knowledge of development financials, budgeting, and project scheduling toolsHighly organized, process-driven, and capable of managing multiple concurrent projectsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindsetA personality-driven fit: proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-growing, high-accountability environmentCompetitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 depending on level/experience.
