Direct Support Worker

About the Role:
Jones Unique Group Home in Plantation, FL is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Worker to join our caring team.
We currently have weekend overnight shifts from 7pm - 7am, (Sat & Sun) At our Dania Beach location.  We also have a LSD1 (companion) position at ourPlantation location M-F 8am - 2pm.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and daily living support to residents in a group home setting
• Assist individuals with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily self-care routines
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and nutrition monitoring
• Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately
• Facilitate community outings, recreational activities, and social engagement
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions per established protocols
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for all residents
• Assist clients with their goals.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current or Recent experience in direct support, caregiving, in a APD Group Home setting is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background screening and drug test
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented work ethic
• Please have all APD required certifications available for review.
