The Director of Sales and Business Development would combine business development, strategic sales, and product ownership responsibilities to enable Komline to rapidly expand water and wastewater treatment solutions to hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center operators. Acting as both the commercial driver and Product Owner for our Data Center New Product Introduction (NPI), the Director of Sales and Business Development will have the autonomy to define offerings, build partnerships, and close transformational deals.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate the data center market segmentBuild and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities with hyperscale operators, colocation providers, and enterprise data center customersLead complex consultative sales cycles from prospecting through contract negotiation and closeAchieve sales targets and establish Komline as a trusted partner in mission‑critical water treatment and cooling solutionsIdentify and pursue strategic accounts with high growth potentialAct as Product Owner for the Data Center NPI initiative, defining customer requirements and translating them into actionable product/service offeringsConduct market research and continuously capture Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights to understand Data Center industry trends, customer pain points, competitive landscape, and buying behaviorsDevelop value propositions and business cases that demonstrate Return of Investment (ROI) for data center operatorsIdentify partnership opportunities (e.g., crystallization technology vendors) to complete our solution portfolioRecommend “productization” strategies for repeatable, scalable data center offeringsBuild and maintain C‑level relationships with key decision‑makers in target data center organizationsServe as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring our solutions align with market needsCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver customized, end‑to‑end solutionsLead customer presentations, site visits, and technical demonstrationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)5‑10+ years of successful B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years selling into data center customersTrack record of opening new markets and achieving/exceeding revenue targetsDeep understanding of data center operations, infrastructure requirements, and key decision‑making criteriaExperience selling complex engineered solutions or capital equipment in mission‑critical environmentsTechnical acumen with ability to understand and articulate water treatment, cooling, or related technologiesAbility to build relationships with C‑suite executives and technical stakeholdersEntrepreneurial mindset with comfort identifying opportunities, taking/managing risks, and creating value in uncertain environmentsAble to communicate effectively, present, and negotiateAble to travel up to 70%Preferred QualificationsExperience with water treatment, cooling systems, or related technologies in data center applicationsExisting relationships with hyperscale operators (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta, etc.) or major colocation providersBackground in product management or new product introduction initiativesKnowledge of data center industry standards (Uptime Institute Tier classifications, ASHRAE guidelines, etc.)Experience working with channel partners, system integrators, or OEM relationshipsTechnical certifications related to Data Centers (CDCP, CDCS) or water treatmentEqual Opportunity StatementKomline is an EEO Employer- M/F/Vets/Disabled#J-18808-Ljbffr
