The position delivers comprehensive documentation support from concept and design through final review and publication, producing FAA Orders, policy directives, Safety Management System (SMS) documentation, advisory circulars, Notices and General Notices (GENOTs), rulemaking materials, regulatory documentation, briefings, reports, correspondence, and other official communications necessary to support program objectives. The Senior Technical Writer provides technical writing, editorial, and document management support to the FAA Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Mission Support Services, Policy Directorate (AJV-P), supporting the development, revision, coordination, publication, and archival of regulatory and procedural policies governing the National Airspace System (NAS).
