Mission Critical Sales PositionOur client is a specialized aerospace & defense manufacturer focused on mission-critical hardware that enables radar and electronic warfare (EW) systems to operate at higher power densities, wider bandwidths, and greater reliability in contested environments. Within its portfolio, the Radar & Electronic Warfare segment is a core strategic pillar supporting systems across air, land, sea, and space domains.Job DescriptionLead and manage a small high performing sales and business development team (3-4).Work with program management in our existing customers to broaden our opportunity pipeline.Penetrate fully new C4ISR customers who can contribute to our ambitious growth goals.Craft strong relationships with complex customer project teams and various management levels.Forge new relationships with the cross functional organizations at potential customers.Display intimate knowledge of customers, market, and competitive landscape.Directly engage with customers to win incremental business through active business development, including establishment of strong relationships within Sr. management levels.Work closely with customer's project teams to ensure all requirements, specifications, and information are collected and clearly communicated internally.Coordinate with internal program, engineering, and operations management to participate in a technical review for new programs.Manage the preparation of formal quotation packages to maximize profitable revenue growth.Engage with customers on all commercial topics including credit and shipping terms, legal requirements, payments, etc.Respond when necessary to special customer needs or complaints.Utilize Salesforce CRM daily to frequently and transparently communicate all opportunities, wins, and losses to colleagues and management.Uphold the company core valuesOther duties as assignedMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantBS in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related.Minimum of 10 years of direct work within the Space marketspace.Minimum of 5 years in strategic business development with a track record of successful captures within the space market.Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.Existing or past Secret Clearance or Top-Secret Clearance preferred.Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance required.Must provide proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency to comply with ITAR/EAR requirements.Ability to pass a drug screen per our clients drug testing policy.Ability to pass a criminal background check per our clients Systems policy.What's on OfferCompetitive salary w/ bonus structure$140,000-$200,000 base salary w/ sales incentives (10%-20%+)Ability to grow out and lead a teamRemote role w/ travelOpportunity to join an industry leader in a key market segment that is rapidly becoming more and more necessaryComprehensive benefits
