Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Dalwadi Hospitality Management, LLC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
The Sales Director is responsible for driving revenue growth by increasing occupancy, securing corporate and group business, and developing strong relationships within the local community. This role oversees all hotel sales activities, manages key accounts, and works closely with the General Manager and Operations team to achieve revenue goals while maintaining Marriott brand standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
- Prospect and secure new corporate, government, group, and leisure accounts.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients through regular communication and property visits.
- Conduct outside sales calls, networking events, and community outreach to generate new business.
- Respond promptly to sales inquiries, RFPs, and leads.
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and group agreements within company guidelines.
- Coordinate room blocks, group reservations, and special event details with hotel departments.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and local events to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Revenue Management to maximize occupancy and ADR.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, account information, and production reports in Marriott sales systems.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, chamber events, tourism meetings, and networking functions.
- Prepare weekly sales reports, forecasts, and action plans for leadership.
- Ensure exceptional customer service before, during, and after each client stay.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred.
- Marriott experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Marriott sales platforms is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hotel leadership.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for outside sales calls.
Salary: based on experience. Quarterly performance bonus opportunity. Cell phone allowance (if applicable). Paid Time Off (PTO). Health, dental, and vision insurance. Employee hotel discounts .
