Distribution Office Support Clerk

We are hiring an Office Support Clerk to assist with processes, logs and paperwork within a distribution shipping and receiving office for a large distribution organization. Under general direction, provides clerical support to the Regional Distribution Center. Develops and maintains logs, reports, audits, controls and applicable metrics in order to avoid picking and shipping errors.
  • This primary role will work within the office and administration - transportation planning, research, emails, Bill of lading and could need to support auditing and UPS coordination.
LOCATION: Sacramento, CA
POSITION: Right to Hire
HOURS: 8:30am to 5:00pm M-F / with OT
PAYRATE: 25.00 hour
  • Clerical Support: Managing logs, reports, and documentation, including SOX controls, to ensure accurate shipping and receiving.
  • Safety Compliance: Coordinating safety training, documentation, and OSHA compliance.
    Customer Service: Acting as a liaison between customers, employees, and logistics, handling inquiries, and resolving issues with orders.
  • Inventory & Logistics: Updating database systems, handling Bill of Lading creation, and managing "will call" orders, UPS, and LTL.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Requires at least 2 years related experience.
  • Bill Of Lading (BOL) knowledge
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in an ERP or MRP system. We use SAP, but experience with another system is fine.
  • Microsoft outlook and teams experience. This is a communication driven position.
  • Candidate will be working with internal customers (sales teams, store team, warehouse associates) and external customers (transportation teams, truck drivers) so will need to be able to communicate effectively.
  • Has the ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment.
  • Requires good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Requires some experience with general office applications such as FAX and EDI.
  • Prefer experience using SAP including using queries.
