QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technical, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience or successful completion of Nucor's DDSM Program
Strong relationship-building and account management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Ability to travel extensively on a weekly basis
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Chicago, IL area

 

Preferred Qualifications
Special Bar Quality (SBQ) and rod product experience
Steel manufacturing or steelmaking experience
Industrial or manufacturing sales experience
Experience managing large customer accounts
Technical sales experience within metals or manufacturing industries

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow customer relationships throughout the assigned sales territory
Execute product group and company-wide sales strategies
Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts
Collaborate with production, technical, and sales teams to meet customer needs
Maximize profitability through strategic account management
Develop and implement territory sales plans
Provide outstanding customer service and technical support
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery
Maintain frequent customer visits and business development activities
Travel extensively throughout the territory
Promote and uphold Nucor's safety culture
