This is an Unclassified - Exempt Position (8 Hour workday)
To accurately assess the educational needs of students and function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in accordance with guidelines set forth in Bulletin 1508 and regulations implementing LRS 17:1941 et.seq.
Responsibilities
The Educational Diagnostician provides training and consultation to SSD teachers and paraprofessionals in academic intervention support; administers assessments; attends SBLC and IEP meetings as needed; and conducts interviews. The Educational Diagnostician also collects data and compiles it as needed for the department, district, state and federal reports.
The employee must be able to perform these assigned duties without significant risk of substantial harm to his/her own safety/security and the safety/security of others.
