Electrical Engineer

Shift: First Shift / Full-Time Hybrid

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 / year (dependent on experience)

*Will go higher on salary for candidates with direct experience*

Electrical Engineer Role

The Electrical Engineer supports the design, analysis, and coordination of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems across all project phases. This position exists to assist with technical calculations, draft construction documents, and execute design scopes while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities

• Travel up to 30% domestically for fieldwork, due diligence, and onsite meetings
• Apply company standards, procedures, templates, and QA/QC processes across engineering projects
• Prepare and revise electrical drawings, power plans, lighting plans, equipment schedules, and panelboard schedules
• Draft electrical one-line diagrams and riser diagrams for low- and medium-voltage systems
• Perform engineering calculations including system demand, service sizing, feeder sizing, and voltage drop
• Execute conduit, cable, and lighting calculations along with basic short-circuit or coordination studies
• Support schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration phases
• Coordinate electrical design efforts with senior engineers, architects, mechanical/structural engineers, contractors, and vendors
• Address redlines, review comments, coordination items, and design revisions in a timely manner
• Participate in internal project meetings, design reviews, client communications, and coordination calls
• Manage assigned tasks across multiple projects while communicating progress and project risks

Electrical Engineer Reporting Relationships

This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and has no direct reports.

About You

• Hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited university
• Possess 0-5 years of electrical engineering experience in consulting, design-build, construction, or related design environments
• Read and interpret architectural, mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings
• Maintain familiarity with applicable electrical codes and standards including NEC 70 and NFPA codes
• Utilize AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Outlook
• Demonstrate experience or familiarity with Revit, lighting calculation software such as Visual or ElumTools, and electrical analysis tools
• Display strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple project tasks and priorities
• Demonstrate progress toward or completion of Engineer Intern (EI) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) credentials
• Show willingness to learn from senior staff, accept constructive feedback, and grow toward project ownership

This is a full-time, hybrid position located in Independence, OH, requiring initial on-site onboarding prior to transitioning to a hybrid work schedule.
