About Flint

Flint is the first self-improving system for performance marketing. We connect to brands' ad accounts and optimize them through creating pages instantly for each ad group and running a learning loop that continually improves conversions. We just signed a Fortune 10 customer, and within 48 hours their customer acquisition cost decreased by 50%. We're backed by Accel, Sheryl Sandberg (former Meta COO)'s venture fund SBVP, and Neo.

What you will do day to day

• Own a part of the product that's live with customers and stays live after you leave.

• Work anywhere in the stack, from the UI down to the infrastructure it runs on.

• Use LLMs and agent workflows as everyday tools. The product is built out of them.

• Ship to production in your first few weeks, then keep going.

• At the end of the summer, show the whole company what you built and what it moved.

Who you work with

You report to and sit with the engineers who own the part of the product you're working on.

Location, dates, and work authorization

• This role is onsite in our San Francisco office, five days a week, for the full 16 weeks: Monday 3 May to Friday 20 August 2027.

• You must already be authorized to work in the United States for the whole term. We don't sponsor visas for internships, and the application asks you to confirm this.

What we look for

• You're in your penultimate or final year of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.

• You've built and shipped something we can look at: a repo, a product people use, or a hackathon project we can open and try. We weigh this heavily, and we don't ask for your GPA.

• You're happy to pick up work anywhere in the stack.

• When something breaks, you find out why before you change anything.

Hiring process

About two hours in total, and we move quickly.

• 30 minutes with Max Levenson, our engineering lead, about your background and what you've built.

• A 60-minute technical interview.

• 30 minutes with Michelle Lim, our CEO and co-founder.

• A decision within one week of the final conversation.
