Engineering Manager

HiFyve is hiring an Engineering Manager in the Construction industry 

Salary: $125k-$135k/yr + profit sharing + bonus

Shift: Monday–Friday

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage engineering, drafting, project managers, and Quality Control.

Plan and organize the department to meet project schedules and deadlines.

Oversee the Quality Control Department and Quality Control Supervisors, ensuring adherence to the Quality Systems Manual and PCI Standard of Practice.

Monitor and maintain job budgets and overall departmental budget.

Maintain and implement drafting and design standards based on current codes and best practices.

Negotiate and execute contracts with outside drafting and design consultants for work that is not performed in-house.

Provide design assistance to Sales when needed and provide estimating costs for Drafting and Design scope on upcoming projects.

Ensure new engineers and existing staff receive the training needed.

Work closely with Production and Erection departments to ensure design and detailing of products is most efficient.

Maintain positive and high morale among department employees.

Education Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited college or university with a B.S. in Civil Engineering minimum.

Eight years of precast prestressed concrete design experience.

Five years of related management experience in the precast industry.

Licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Arizona & Nevada or ability to obtain.

S.E. a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of precast and prestressed concrete design.

Well versed in building codes such as IBC, and reference standards such as ACI, ASCE, and PCI.

Well versed in engineering software programs, as well as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), etc.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Strong budgeting and financial management abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to train and develop engineering and drafting staff.

Positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Candidates need a minimum of 8 years precast experience
