Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance rn
• HS plus 2 years of experience in electronics, hydraulics and/or applicable military experience or vocational education, or Associate Degree in electronics, engineering, electrical field or a related discipline rn
• General knowledge of electronics, computers, instrumentation, and plumbing rn
• Mechanical aptitude rn
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word rn

• Associate Degree in electronics, engineering, electrical or a related discipline rn
• Experience in LabView rn
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulics, welding or vocational education. rn
• Strong electronics background rn
• Strong math skills rn
• Data collection experience rn

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is in a laboratory environment and requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and protective shoes.

In performing the work for this position, the Technician must be able to:

• Work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time. rn
• Climb ladders and stairs in performing the work. rn
• Grasp objects utilizing the fingers (fine motor manipulation). rn
• Reach for objects above the head or below the waist. rn
• Stoop or crouch by bending at the waist or by bending legs. rn
• Distinguish colors effectively. rn
• Occasionally lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. rn

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

This position is an entry level position who will work with a more experienced engineering technician until he/she is proficient in all routine tasks. This technician is responsible for performing varied but standardized tests and procedures using scientific techniques and methods; recording, analyzing, and reporting results; and working under oversight of the supervisor or a more experienced technician. Work may be checked in progress and technical accuracy is reviewed on completion.

• Apply basic skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment appropriate to area of specialization. rn
• Conduct routine tests, analyze the data and document results. rn
• Participate in systems integration, fabrication and modification tasks. rn
• Provide support and assistance with systems pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post- test tear-down. rn
• Work under direct supervision but may select from a variety of established procedures to accomplish tasks. rn
• Setup digital data acquisition equipment. rn
• Compute and combine data and report findings to supervisor. rn
• Perform other duties as may be required by supervisor. rn
