We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Emergency Room (ER) Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. The ER Nurse will assess, prioritize, and treat patients with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and life-threatening conditions while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The ideal candidate is experienced in emergency nursing, critical thinking, and delivering high-quality patient-centered care under pressure.
Perform rapid patient assessments and triage according to acuity.
Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients with emergency medical conditions.
Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments.
Assist physicians during emergency procedures and trauma resuscitations.
Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient responses to treatment.
Operate emergency medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and defibrillators.
Respond to medical emergencies, trauma activations, stroke alerts, and cardiac arrests.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, EMS personnel, and interdisciplinary teams.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure emergency environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale Certification.
Experience with trauma centers or Level I/II emergency departments.
Experience with electronic medical records (Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
