ESS Test Technician (On-site)

HEPCO is seeking an Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Test Technician to support our client’s Engineering and Production teams. The technician will set up and operate environmental testing equipment and perform operational tests on complex electronic production components and subassemblies.

• Set up and operate vibration systems and thermal cycling equipment to perform moderate to highly complex environmental tests.
• Use temperature monitoring equipment, thermocouples, data loggers, vibration controls, accelerometer systems, and pressure and airflow instrumentation.
• Operate automated test equipment, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, and other electronic test instruments.
• Conduct simulated environmental tests according to standard test methods, engineering procedures, and written or verbal instructions.
• Compile complete product data packages, including quality information and defect records.
• Maintain test logbooks with relevant testing information.
• Assist higher-level technicians with more complex testing.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Direct experience operating Unholtz-Dickie or similar vibration systems supporting engineering qualification efforts.
• Experience developing vibration profiles.
• Experience with Thermotron temperature chambers.
• Basic computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule: Weekend night shift, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM. Candidates must initially work a day shift schedule of four 10-hour days for approximately two months before transitioning to weekend nights.

Pay Range: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
