Location: Hybrid opportunity based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, offering the flexibility to split your time between the office and home while remaining closely connected to our collaborative legal team.

Note: Applicants must have an active New Mexico Bar license, 5+ years of estate planning attorney experience, be able to provide professional references, and submit a legal writing or drafting sample during the interview process.

Job Description

  • Counsel clients on comprehensive estate planning strategies tailored to their personal and financial goals.
  • Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate planning documents.
  • Manage probate and trust administration matters from opening through final resolution.
  • Represent clients in guardianship, conservatorship, and fiduciary litigation proceedings when necessary.
  • Appear in court for hearings and other legal proceedings.
  • Develop strong client relationships through responsive communication and trusted legal guidance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to deliver exceptional client service and efficient case management.
  • Stay current on estate planning laws and recommend practical legal strategies.

Qualifications

  • Active New Mexico Bar license.
  • 5+ years of estate planning attorney experience.
  • Experience with probate and trust administration.
  • Strong legal writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to independently manage client matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional references required.
  • Writing or drafting sample required.
