Evening Line/Grill/Saute Cook

The Club at Glenmore is situated within a private residential community about five miles east of downtown Charlottesville. We are currently seeking a full time Evening Line/Grill/Sauté Cook with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a passion for food.

A successful candidate should have 2+ years’ experience in sautéing, grilling and general operation in a fast-paced fine-dining environment. Main duties will be food production and plating up of dinners for an a la carte cooking line. Other duties will include assisting in the production and plate up for our on-site weddings/events facilities.

A safe-serve certification desirable. Candidates must be able to work on their feet for extended stretches, and must be able to stand for extended periods, plus bend, stretch, lift, and occasionally carry heavy materials. Must be able to work weekends.

We offer a great working environment, and room for advancement and professional development for the right applicant—plus no late nights! Even though this position is strictly an evening one, food service at the club closes at 8-9pm depending on the season.

This is a full time, year-round position. Compensation is based on experience, starting at $20-24 per hour. We offer club assisted health insurance and staff meals. While we'd prefer one full time person, the position could also be split between two part time candidates, though health insurance can only be offered for full time. Apply online, no calls please.
