Job DetailsWe're looking for an Executive Assistant to work directly with the CEO of an established consumer technology company. This is not a traditional EA role.
While you'll own the fundamentals of executive support — calendar management, travel, meetings, communication, and keeping the CEO organized — we're looking for someone who can contribute well beyond those responsibilities.
The CEO is particularly interested in someone who is technologically savvy, naturally curious, and already exploring how AI, automation, and emerging technologies can improve the way businesses operate.
Ideally, you've had hands-on experience building or implementing AI workflows, automations, bots, or agents. You don't need to be a software developer, but you should understand how to identify opportunities for automation, experiment with tools, and turn ideas into practical solutions.
This is an opportunity to become a trusted extension of the CEO, supporting strategic initiatives, solving problems independently, and helping introduce smarter ways of working across the organization.
What You'll Do
Manage the CEO's calendar, travel, meetings, communications, and day-to-day priorities.
Anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and ensure important follow-ups and action items are completed.
Work closely with the CEO on strategic initiatives, business operations, and special projects.
Research unfamiliar topics, evaluate solutions, and present organized, actionable recommendations.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, eliminate repetitive tasks, and increase operational efficiency.
Help develop, implement, and refine AI-powered workflows, automations, bots, and agents.
Experiment with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and other AI or automation platforms to solve business challenges.
Collaborate with technology teams and department leaders to translate ideas into functional solutions.
Help test new tools, troubleshoot issues, document processes, and support adoption across the business.
Coordinate cross-functional projects, track progress, and hold stakeholders accountable for deliverables.
Prepare executive reports, presentations, research summaries, and other materials.
Take ownership of projects and responsibilities that may fall outside a traditional EA job description.
What We're Looking For
Experience directly supporting a CEO, founder, or senior C-suite executive.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Strong executive presence, judgment, discretion, and communication skills.
A proactive, independent problem-solver who can take an idea or loosely defined project and figure out how to execute it.
Strong business acumen and genuine curiosity about how organizations operate.
Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar platforms.
Experience building, configuring, or implementing AI workflows, automations, bots, or agents is highly preferred.
Familiarity with no-code or low-code automation tools such as Zapier, Make, Power Automate, or similar platforms is a plus.
Ability to identify opportunities for automation and collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement solutions.
Comfortable testing new technologies, learning unfamiliar platforms, and improving processes through experimentation.
Strong research, analytical thinking, and information synthesis skills.
High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and ability to work effectively across different departments and personalities.
Humble, collaborative, and willing to handle both routine administrative responsibilities and complex business initiatives.
Comfortable working primarily onsite in San Clemente, CA.
The Ideal Candidate
You're an exceptional Executive Assistant who also happens to be the person everyone turns to when there's a new tool to figure out, a process to improve, or a problem that needs solving.
You might already be building automations, experimenting with AI agents, or finding creative ways to use technology to make your current executive's life easier.
You're not necessarily a programmer, but you're comfortable getting into the details, learning how things work, and collaborating with technical teams to bring ideas to life.
Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy supporting a CEO while having the opportunity to contribute to how the business operates and evolves.
