Location: Denver, CO (Central Park neighborhood) | Status: Full-Time, Exempt | Compensation: $140,000–$195,000, DOE
About Us: Central Park is a vibrant community of 35,000+ residents in northeast Denver, built on the guiding vision of The Green Book and Denver City Council's eight founding objectives. Under the direction of our Board, the Central Park Master Community Association (MCA) manages a wide range of community assets — including Founders' and Conservatory Greens, seven pools, splash pads, five sports fields, and twenty-plus pocket parks — along with robust arts, cultural, and athletic programming for residents of all ages. About the Role: The Executive Director is the chief executive and administrative leader of the MCA, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. This role oversees 15+ permanent staff and approximately 150 seasonal team members, and holds full responsibility for financial management (including a $12M annual budget), legal and governance compliance, vendor and contract administration, and Board relations. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for someone who can guide the organization through its next chapter — building on a strong operational foundation while helping to shift its focus toward long-term sustainability, transparency, and collaborative community stewardship.
What You'll Do:
Serve as chief executive and administrative officer, responsible for all Association affairs
Ensure compliance with governing documents, Board actions, and applicable laws
Prepare and administer the annual $12M budget, oversee reserve studies, and manage financial reporting
Hire, develop, and lead a team of department directors and staff across MCA operations
Administer vendor and service contracts, including bid solicitation and performance oversight
Manage Board and Delegate meeting administration, including agendas and materials
Represent the MCA to media, community groups, and public entities including the City and County of Denver
Lead facilities and community improvement planning with a focus on sustainability
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, urban planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience on a 1:1 substitution basis)
5+ years of experience in property management, HOA leadership, or municipal management
Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and reserve studies
Ability to manage contractual relationships and complex stakeholder relationships (residents, commercial entities, public officials, metropolitan districts, etc.)
Ability to facilitate meetings and solicit bids from vendors
Ability to supervise staff effectively
Demonstrated strong organizational, financial, communication, and interpersonal skills
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $140,000–$195,000, dependent on experience and qualifications
