A well-established and highly regarded defense litigation firm in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking an exceptional Executive Legal Assistant to provide direct, one-on-one support to its Managing Partner.
This is more than a legal assistant position. You'll serve as a trusted partner to a busy executive, playing an integral role in keeping a fast-paced litigation practice running seamlessly. The ideal candidate is confident, resourceful, proactive, and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same.

What You'll Do
- Provide dedicated executive and legal support to the Managing Partner
- Manage an ever-changing calendar, appointments, deadlines, and priorities
- Coordinate meetings, conference calls, depositions, and travel arrangements
- Prepare, proofread, and finalize legal correspondence and litigation documents
- File pleadings and legal documents with state and federal courts
- Maintain litigation calendars and monitor critical case deadlines
- Record attorney time accurately and efficiently
- Organize and maintain both electronic and physical client files
- Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and executives
- Communicate confidently with high-level professionals and organizational leadership
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and keep matters moving without constant direction
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience as a Legal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or Litigation Secretary in a law firm
- Strong calendaring and deadline management skills
- E-filing in California State courts
- Experience with court filings and litigation procedures
- Exceptional organizational skills with outstanding attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Comfortable interacting with executives, clients, and firm leadership
- Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
- A proactive, polished, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Someone who takes initiative, follows through, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed
