Position Overview:
Food and Beverage Associates deliver orders from the kitchen/bar to guests rapidly and accurately, acting as the point of contact between the guests and the kitchen and bar team members. Communicating orders to cooks and bartenders, paying attention to priorities, inspecting dishes and drinks for visual appeal and ensuring proper preparation and serving at the proper temperature in a timely fashion is of utmost importance. F&B Associates will also be the face of the Food and Beverage department, so greeting with a smile, answering guest questions, addressing guest concerns, and providing a unique experience are key to this role.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Maintain verbal communication with cooks and bartenders to check the status of orders.
- Keep team members well-informed and alert team when the kitchen or bar is out of a specific ingredient.
- Assist guests with their purchases, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues or concerns.
- Address guest complaints by serving as a representative for the F&B team and finding solutions that will satisfy guests.
- Monitor the digital order queue in real-time, cross-referencing incoming QR code orders with table/location identifiers to ensure accurate and timely delivery to guests throughout the soaking and social areas.
- Assist guests with the QR code ordering system, troubleshooting mobile connectivity or menu navigation issues, and ensuring seamless contactless transactions.
- Issue receipts or invoices for completed transactions.
- Ensure products are properly entered and scanned into the POS, and prices are accurate.
- Stay informed of menu offerings, daily specials and any changes to ingredients or preparation methods.
- Ensure the responsible service of alcohol by verifying guest identification and strictly adhering to TABC regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a safe social wellness environment by monitoring guest alcohol consumption and identifying signs of intoxication.
- Meet presentation standards by inspecting every plate/drink to make sure the proper garnishes have been applied and that dishes/utensils are free of smudges and spills before being delivered to the guest.
- Keep kitchen areas clean and orderly as well as cooking, prep, and food storage areas, keeping these areas neat, well organized, and stocked with ingredients.
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety and personal hygiene to ensure a clean, professional, and compliant environment.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous server, food preparation or bartending experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain Food Handler and TABC certifications.
Environmental Factors and other requirements:
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in the elements (heat, cold, rain, etc)
- Ability to carry up to 25lbs (Carrying orders, restocking, etc)
- The essential functions of this position are performed outdoors in high temperatures and prolonged humidity. Ability to sustain physical labor and maintain focus during prolonged exposure to extreme heat and humidity
- Ability to safely navigate, lift, and maneuver equipment on chronically wet, slick, and slimy surfaces
