Facilities Maintenance Technician IILocation: Tampa, FL; travel between four Tampa sites required

Shift: Training is Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM, for up to four months. After training, candidates must be open to 2nd shift (Monday Friday, 3:00 11:30 PM) and/or 3rd shift (Sunday Thursday, 11:00 PM 7:30 AM), with overtime and weekend support as needed.
Pay Rate: Up to $34 / hour (with shift differential)

Overview: Support a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation where reliable facilities and utilities are essential to producing oral solid dose products. In this hands-on role, you ll maintain building systems, respond to equipment issues, and help keep regulated manufacturing spaces safe and operational. The work spans HVAC, purified water, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems across four Tampa sites.
Responsibilities:- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure, utilities, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct and document operational rounds for purified water, compressed air, chilled water, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair components such as pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes, lighting circuits, outlets, and piping.
- Monitor the Building Management System (BMS), respond to alarms, and report temperature, humidity, pressure, or other environmental excursions.
- Complete HVAC maintenance, including filter changes, belt adjustments, coil cleaning, and system performance checks.
- Respond to equipment failures and facility emergencies; identify the issue, make repairs within your scope, or escalate as needed.
- Support investigations, root cause analysis, deviations, CAPAs, and verification that repaired systems have returned to their required operating state.
- Complete work orders and maintenance records in the CMMS with accurate repair details, parts used, and follow-up needs in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
- Escort contractors and verify that their work meets site safety, quality, and cGMP requirements.
- Help improve maintenance procedures, preventive maintenance plans, and spare parts readiness.
- Follow site safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, confined space, and hot work requirements.
- Support planned shutdowns, special projects, and after-hours or on-call maintenance needs.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED; technical or general trades education preferred.
- 2 5 years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and facility utility systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot 120V 208V electrical systems and work with motors, switches, and basic controls.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, meters, gauges, and system data.
- Familiarity with CMMS work orders, maintenance documentation, and cGMP/Good Documentation Practices.
- Ability to lift or maneuver up to 25 pounds and perform work that may involve climbing, bending, kneeling, confined spaces, and extended periods of standing.
- Ability to work safely in manufacturing areas while wearing required PPE and to commute between all four Tampa locations.
