WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 
 
We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented students to join our Project Accounting Team as Project Accounting Interns. Under the direction of the Project Accounting Manager, interns will assist with the financial administration and reporting of construction projects while gaining exposure to the accounting processes that support successful project execution. 
 
Throughout the internship, students will gain hands-on experience with project accounting functions including project setup, budget management, change order tracking, compliance documentation, accounts payable and receivable processes, business analytics, and project closeouts. Interns will also receive training on industry-leading software platforms including Sage 300, Procore, HH2, and Caliper
 
By the end of the internship, students will have developed professional business communication skills, gained an understanding of construction accounting principles, and learned how financial processes contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects. 
 
THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
• Assist with project setup and budget management activities 
• Support the tracking and processing of project change orders 
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions 
• Help maintain project compliance documentation, including insurance certificates, subcontractor requirements, and tax-related documents 
• Support intercompany project accounting and financial reporting activities 
• Assist with project closeouts and final project documentation 
• Participate in financial analysis and business analytics reporting 
• Work with project teams, project managers, and accounting staff to support project financial objectives 
• Gain experience using Sage 300, Procore, HH2, and Caliper software platforms 
 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications 
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment 
• Interest in construction accounting and project-based financial management
