Job Title: Federal Recruiter (DoD/Fed Civ)

Location: 100% Remote (DMV-based candidates preferred)

Contract Length: 6+ Month Contract with Strong Potential for Extension or Conversion

Pay Rate: $40.00 - $48.00/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

Apex Systems is seeking a Federal Recruiter (DoD / Fed Civ) to support hiring initiatives across Department of Defense and Federal Civilian programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruiter with government contracting experience who enjoys building relationships and connecting top talent with critical federal programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle recruiting efforts supporting DoD and Federal Civilian programs
• Source, identify, and engage qualified candidates for active and pipeline opportunities
• Conduct candidate screenings, coordinate interviews, and manage offer processes
• Partner directly with hiring managers and business leaders to understand hiring priorities
• Build and maintain relationships with passive candidates and talent communities
• Utilize ATS platforms and sourcing tools to drive recruiting performance
• Support both high-volume and strategic hiring initiatives
• Maintain a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process

Qualifications

• 5+ years of federal/government recruiting experience
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Federal Civilian customers
• Prior experience working within the government contracting industry
• Experience recruiting technical, engineering, program management, and mission support professionals
• Strong sourcing, networking, and candidate engagement skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
