Location: Hiring Manager prefers candidates located in Middlesex, Mercer, or Union County to allow convenient travel to both ends of the service territory, typically within about one hour.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support construction project public affairs and customer outreach initiatives throughout New Jersey. This field-focused role coordinates community notifications, manages outreach logistics, tracks operational data, and ensures customers and businesses receive timely information regarding construction impacts.
Project Coordinator Responsibilities
- Coordinate field outreach schedules, construction notifications, and door-to-door customer communications across multiple municipalities.
- Deliver approximately 600 700 door hangers daily and walk 7 10 miles per day in all seasons.
- Receive outreach assignments and prepare, print, fold, assemble, and distribute letters and door hangers.
- Track notification activity, businesses and residences reached, critical facilities, route coverage, and issues requiring escalation.
- Monitor daily field conditions and adjust outreach schedules and priorities as needed.
- Maintain inventory and expenditure tracking for outreach materials.
- Prepare operational, customer interaction, and ad-hoc reports using existing systems.
- Support construction website updates and communication logistics.
- Travel throughout assigned New Jersey territories using a personal vehicle; mileage and tolls are reimbursable.
Project Coordinator Qualifications
- BS/BA degree required.
- 2 years of relevant business, communications, analytical, or project coordination experience.
- Valid U.S. driver s license, safe driving record, and ability to pass an MVR check required.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle for business travel.
- Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Advanced attention to detail with demonstrated quantitative and reporting abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and PC-based applications.
- Ability to independently manage changing schedules and extensive field activity.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and valuing diverse perspectives.
Preferred Project Coordinator Qualifications
- Experience with campaign canvassing, community outreach, door-to-door delivery, public affairs, utilities, or construction communications.
- Candidates located in or near Middlesex, Mercer, or Union counties are preferred due to regular travel throughout the service territory.
