About the Role:
Join Little Black Pearl Workshop as a Finance Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial health and operational efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a creative and community-focused organization in the heart of Chicago.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial transactions and ensure accuracy in bookkeeping.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Manage budgeting processes and forecast financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial operations.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team to enhance their skills.
  • Implement financial systems and processes for efficiency.
  • Assist in grant management and funding proposals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance and bookkeeping roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience in non-profit finance is a plus.
  • Proficient in TOAST, QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial tools
