The Financial Accounting Manager provides leadership and oversight for consolidation and financial accounting activities supporting the preparation of enterprise-level financial statements. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while providing high-quality accounting support across multiple operating entities. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capability, and a collaborative approach to working across the organization.
Prepare financial statement footnotes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and, where applicable, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements.
Manage the consolidation of financial results for the parent company and affiliated entities.
Oversee corporate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes for both internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with audit preparation, including managing PBC (Prepared by Client) requests and coordinating documentation with internal teams and external auditors.
Manage and perform financial accounting processes, including:
Journal entry preparation and posting
Trial balance management
Account reconciliations
Financial statement preparation and analysis
Subsidiary ledger maintenance
Fixed asset accounting
Accruals and prepaid balances
Bank reconciliations
Partner with operational leaders to ensure business activities are accurately identified, recorded, and reflected in financial statements.
Support enterprise-wide special projects by coordinating with management, performing accounting research, meeting with department leaders, and delivering required analyses and documentation.
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and established financial procedures.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, including completion of the required fifth year of college or university education.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial accounting experience.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and accounting/database management systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
