Love fitness and looking for a Monday-Friday schedule with NO weekends? Join HealthFitness as a full-time Fitness Center Receptionist at our client site in Thousand Oaks, CA!

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll help keep the fitness center running smoothly by welcoming members, handling administrative responsibilities using Outlook and Excel, multitasking throughout your shift, and providing excellent customer service. You may also occasionally assist with locker room upkeep and restocking supplies as needed.

Schedule: 37.5 hpw, Monday-Friday, 2:15 PM-10:15 PM hours may be subject to change, no weekends!

Greet, check-in and assist customers. Provides program information, services, membership and ensures the highest possible level of customer service and participant satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities

• Greeting, checking-in and assisting customers, provide program information services and membership information. Be present at the front desk and/or on the fitness center floor. Efficiently responds to client and participant requests, comments or concerns and brings issues to timely and appropriate resolution.
• Be available for customer service needs. Assist with all member service desk administration and processes, answer phones, and process membership enrollments. Collects membership fees and performs related recordkeeping.
• Participates in membership drives to acquire new participants and enroll new participants.
• Laundry and locker rooms services.
• Secure all equipment, weights, and accessories in their designated positions. Inspect for any safety hazards.
• Maintains and updates participant and facility policies as appropriate. Educate participants on policies and procedures.
• Participate in internal programs and special events.
• Opening and/or closing duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
• Previous customer service experience a plus.
• Provides administrative support for internal programs, membership drives and special events
• Must be able to life up to 50 lbs.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

The compensation range for this role is $18.00 - $19.50 per hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.  We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive wage within the market.
