Position Overview
Fairfield Inn & Suites is seeking a dependable, professional, and guest-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team for a Saturday and Sunday schedule. We are looking for someone who is serious about working, committed to their scheduled shifts, and ready to make a positive difference in our guests’ experiences. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, demonstrate accountability, and help elevate our hotel through exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm, professional attitude and provide excellent customer service throughout their stay.
- Perform guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
- Answer phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with reservations and special requests.
- Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally, working toward timely and satisfactory resolutions.
- Maintain accurate guest information, room assignments, payments, and other front desk records.
- Monitor the lobby and front desk area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Follow Fairfield Inn & Suites and Marriott brand standards, hotel policies, and established procedures.
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure guest needs are met.
- Monitor arrivals, departures, and room availability while maintaining accurate information in the hotel system.
- Remain attentive to guests and avoid distractions that interfere with providing quality service.
- Complete assigned tasks, shift reports, and handover notes before leaving the desk.
- Represent the hotel positively through professionalism, teamwork, honesty, and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Must be dependable and committed to working every Saturday and Sunday as scheduled.
- Must arrive on time, be prepared to work, and communicate promptly regarding any unexpected issues.
- Must demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
- Must be professional, courteous, and able to remain calm when handling difficult situations.
- Must be comfortable learning hotel systems, procedures, and Marriott brand standards.
- Must be able to work independently, follow instructions, and take responsibility for assigned duties.
- Previous hotel front desk experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
