Part-time, hourly  |  $12.00 - $15.00 per hour, based on experience
Tuesday through Thursday, 3:00pm to 8:00pm, plus some Saturday and event coverage during recital and competition season

About Us

Move Dance Family is a competitive and recreational dance studio in Fort Bend County serving over 400 dancers. We're a family. That's not a slogan we put on the wall, it's how we run the place.
Our philosophy is "More Than Dancers." We're here to raise good humans first and strong dancers second. Every kid who walks through our door should feel seen, safe, and like they belong. The person at our front desk is a big part of making that happen.

The Role

You're the first face families see and the last one they see before they head home. When a nervous new parent walks in for a trial class, you're the reason they relax. When a dancer has a rough day, you're the one who notices.
Day to day, you'll be:

• Greeting families, dancers, and visitors as they come in
• Answering phones, emails, and texts about schedules, tuition, and classes
• Checking dancers in and helping them get to the right room
• Booking trial classes and walking new families through enrollment
• Handling payments, registrations, and account questions in our studio software
• Keeping the lobby and front desk clean, organized, and welcoming
• Helping with costume distribution, recital prep, and event days
• Supporting teachers and owners with whatever the day throws at us

Who We're Looking For

You'd be a great fit if:

• You genuinely like people, especially kids and parents
• You stay calm when the lobby is full and the phone is ringing
• You're organized and you follow through without being reminded
• You're comfortable learning new software (we'll train you on ours)
• You can work independently and make good calls in the moment
• You're reliable. Families count on us being here when we say we will be.

Nice to have, not required:

• Front desk, retail, or customer service experience
• Dance background or experience around a studio
• Familiarity with Jackrabbit or similar class management software

We can teach the systems. We can't teach warmth. If you have the second one, apply.
