Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery — Mansfield, TX
About Our Practice
At our oral and maxillofacial surgery practice, we believe surgery should never feel impersonal. We're a broad-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery practice rooted in the Mansfield community, and our approach centers on treating the whole patient — not just the procedure. Patients come to us anxious, in pain, or facing a major decision about their care, and our team's job is to meet them with genuine compassion, clear communication, and a calm, welcoming environment from the moment they walk in.
We're looking for a Front Desk / Treatment Coordinator who shares that philosophy — someone who can be the steady, reassuring first and last voice a patient hears, while also handling the real operational complexity of an OMS practice.
What You'll Do
- Greet and check in patients, managing front desk flow with warmth and efficiency
- Schedule surgical consults, procedures, and follow-ups
- Verify medical and dental insurance benefits (this role requires comfort working both sides — CPT and CDT)
- Present treatment plans clearly, including costs, financing options, and what to expect
- Collect payments and manage day-to-day billing and collections tasks
- Coordinate closely with our clinical team on surgical-day logistics — pre-op instructions, day-of scheduling, and post-op follow-up calls
- Serve as a calm, trustworthy point of contact for patients who are often nervous about surgery
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
- Experience in a dental or medical front office role
- Comfort verifying insurance benefits and explaining coverage to patients
- Strong, empathetic communication skills — you can deliver both good news and hard financial conversations with care
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage a multi-step daily schedule
Nice-to-haves:
- Prior experience in an oral surgery, dental specialty, or medical practice
- Familiarity with dual medical/dental billing (CPT and CDT coding)
- Experience with practice management software (Carestream)
Schedule
Monday-Thursday 7:45-4:30p
Friday 7:45-3p
Compensation & Benefits
$18-25 per hour. Health Insurance, 401k, PTO offered.
How to Apply
We'd love to hear from candidates who want to be part of a practice that treats patients like people, not procedures. Please apply with your resume, and feel free to include a short note on why this role interests you.
