    Description

    Step into a key leadership role as our Operations Manager, where you’ll help drive the daily success of a fast-paced fulfillment warehouse operation. In this role, you’ll support efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality performance while ensuring we meet client expectations and uphold company standards. We’re looking for a hands-on leader with strong warehouse experience, a passion for operational excellence, and the ability to motivate teams to deliver results. The hours for this position will be - Tues-Fri 6:30 AM-4:00, Sat 5:30 AM-3:00 PM. This salaried position reports to the Facility Manager.

    DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Attend daily shift change meetings for labor/capacity/activity planning purposes.
    • Participate in customer calls.
    • Monitor and analyze workload demands.
    • Maintain the safest work environment possible for all employees and engage in the safety program.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure established housekeeping standards are met.
    • Assist with forklift and new hire orientation training classes.
    • Maintain applicable customer service levels by driving performance relative to established customer KPI’s.
    • Lead tactical continuous improvement teams within the site.
    • Use Lean methodologies and tools, concentrating on the critical aspects of Lean theories.
    • Assist leadership in developing effective continuous improvement plans to address top business needs.
    • Provide regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against objectives.
    • Deliver projects that provide significant improvement in waste reduction.
    • Work with multiple third-party contractors to foster the “One Team, One Goal” concept.
    • Will be “on-call” on a rotating schedule. Main shift Tues – Fri 0630 – 1600, Sat. 0530 – 1500 contingent on workload and volume.
    • Review labor reports daily.
    • Forecast and schedule labor needs to flex with the customer’s needs.
    • Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
    • Train and mentor Shift Supervisors.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Proficient reading and writing skills, can efficiently read and interpret numbers and letters.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to work and contribute to a team environment.
    • Strong understanding of warehouse management operating systems (WMS/LMS).
    • Detail-oriented.
    • Candidate needs to have a good working knowledge of LEAN principles.
    • Ability to demonstrate logical thought processes in problem-solving.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the warehousing industry.
    • High school education.

    PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Work on-site in a warehouse environment.
    • Ability to sit for extended periods within an office environment
    • Ability to walk the production and warehouse floor.
    • Ability to stand long periods of time
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding and answer phone calls.
    • Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
