Full-Stack Software Engineer

Introduction

Join our dynamic team where you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from designing software architecture to deploying software that meets customer requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experienced Senior Engineer with a minimum of 6 years in the development of Full Stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, APIs running on GCP platforms.
• Experience setting up, managing, and streamlining GCP environments.
• Experience setting up and managing Tekton Pipelines.
• Implementation of CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Project Management tools such as JIRA or Rally.
• Detailed and rigorous testing experience, with a focus on ensuring quality delivery.
• Proven ability to learn business processes, understand needs, diagnose problems/enhancements, and develop complete solutions independently.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, etc.
• Experience with platform tools such as FOSSA and Cycode.
• Good understanding of logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, and DynaTrace.
• Experience with using AI tools for assistance in general development tasks/functions, such as GitHub Copilot, LLMs, etc.
• Previous experience at Ford with knowledge of Ford IT security policy and requirements is a bonus.
• Any previous mainframe experience with COBOL, JCL, etc., is a bonus, but not a requirement.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to deeply understand their use-cases, pain points, and requirements, showcasing empathy and advocating for user-centric software solutions.
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering using various tools, languages, frameworks, and methodologies like agile.
• Assess the requirements of the software application or service and determine the most suitable technology stack, integration method, deployment strategy, etc.
• Create high-level software designs that outline the overall structure, components, and interfaces of the application.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product owners, designers, architects, etc.
• Define and implement software test strategy, guidelines, policies, and processes in line with organization vision, industry regulations, and market best practices.
• Work on continuously improving performance and optimizing the application and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Support security practices to safeguard user data including encryption and anonymization.
• Create user-friendly and interactive interfaces.
• Develop and maintain back-end applications like APIs and microservices using server-side languages.
• Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities to deliver solutions, monitoring and participating in solutions for new stack layers, often involving industry collaboration.
