Fund Metrics Analysts support investment teams by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on fund-level metrics to guide decision-making and monitor portfolio performance. The role blends quantitative analysis, data management, and reporting to provide actionable insights for portfolio managers and senior investment professionals.
These roles often involve close collaboration with portfolio management, investment operations, fund accounting, and risk teams to ensure accurate fund-level reporting and effective performance monitoring.
Track and analyze fund-level performance metrics, including NAV, IRR, DPI, TVPI, and cash flows
Build and maintain dashboards, models, and reporting tools for fund analytics
Conduct attribution analysis and performance benchmarking across funds and portfolios
Support monitoring of portfolio exposures, liquidity, and risk metrics
Assist in preparing fund performance reports for senior management, investors, and regulatory filings
Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements in fund reporting
Collaborate with investment operations, fund accounting, and external service providers to ensure accuracy of fund data
Participate in ad-hoc analyses to support investment decision-making
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
Understanding of fund structures, portfolio metrics, and private capital performance measurement
Experience or coursework in private equity, hedge funds, private credit, or investment operations
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or other data analytics tools is a plus
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Strong interest in fund analytics, investment metrics, and performance monitoring
