Senior Accountant – General Ledger

Salary: $90,000–$105,000 per year
A well-established company in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional with strong general ledger, month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting experience.
Perform general ledger accounting activities and prepare journal entries for multiple business locations.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare and analyze account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Analyze financial information to identify trends, variances, and significant changes.
Prepare and review balance sheet, income statement, and other financial reports.
Research and resolve errors or inconsistencies in accounting records and financial reports.
Ensure transactions are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
Review and approve financial transactions within established guidelines.
Assist with accounting for areas such as fixed assets, inventory, leases, and cost accounting.
Support ongoing improvements to accounting processes and reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
3+ years of accounting experience preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
SAP experience strongly preferred.
CPA is preferred but not required.
Experience with leases, fixed assets, inventory, or cost accounting is a plus.
Experience in distribution, building materials, manufacturing, consumer products, or a similar industry is a plus.
Public accounting, Big 4, regional accounting firm, or public-company experience is a plus.
Must be located in the Dallas/Irving area or willing to commute.
$90,000–$105,000 annual salary
Full-time, permanent position
