Position Title: Coordinator for HospitalityReports to: Associate Director of HospitalityStatus: Full-time, Support Staff (40 hours/week)Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 2 Sundays/month and occasional all‑church eventsApplication MaterialsYour resumeYour cover letterLinks to your social mediaJob Purpose and GoalsThis position provides high‑level coordination of people, processes, and activities in support of the Hospitality ministry at Lincoln Berean Church. The role partners with the Associate Director, staff, and volunteers to create welcoming environments that help people connect relationally and engage in the life of the church.We are looking for someone who loves Jesus more than anything, loves people, has high energy, genuine warmth and an incredible ability to build Christ‑centered relationship with anyone.The five Key Roles for this ‘seat' are:First ImpressionsAssist with Volunteer Team DutiesProject Planning and ManagementAdministrative SupportHospitality EventsKey Roles and ResponsibilitiesFirst ImpressionsProvide hospitality to guests and newcomers by creating a warm and welcoming environment with easy navigation and appropriate levels of information and connectionCoordinate messaging and channels in public spaces with the Communications TeamIdentify volunteer development gaps and help implement training solutionsAssist with Volunteer Team DutiesInteract and provide assistance to the volunteer teams with a high level of warmth and careOversee and replenish volunteer supplies for the various Hospitality TeamsPrepare documents and resources for weekend services and volunteer teamsProject Planning and ManagementPlan and manage volunteer training/appreciation events and large events like Christmas and EasterCoordinate the execution of large events within Hospitality ministry, such as concerts, conferences, etc.Primary ownership and coordination of the Hospitality Ministry calendar (ensure all events work in collaboration with other key ministry areas of the church)Administrative SupportEnter and ensure all receipts are entered properly in Bill in addition to filling out expense reports in ShelbyBudget tracking and producing monthly/quarterly budget reports for the Ministry Group ManagerGeneral coordination support like note-taking, printing, copying, laminating, etc.Hospitality EventsIn collaboration with the Associate Director, create and manage all reservations and events using eSpace and Ministry PlatformOversee calendar management & meeting logisticsProvide reports for volunteer numbers over weekend services and other important data points related to HospitalityCompetencies and SkillsStrong interpersonal and hospitality skills requiredExceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and non‑verbal)Professional, team‑oriented, positive attitudeOrganized, detail‑oriented, and able to meet deadlinesSelf‑directed, problem solverEducation and ExperienceBA in related field preferredExperience in Hospitality‑related field preferredCharacter, Calling and ChemistryChrist Centered : you build your life around Jesus, with an open heart allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and inspireTeam Oriented : you love building a team, being able to work across teams and to partner with ministries, using the skills and gifts of others to create a better outcomePeople Savvy : you relate well to all kinds of people and cultures – inside and outside the church as well as cross culturally; you can effortlessly build rapport, constructive and effective relationshipsSelf‑Awareness : you know your personal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and limits; you seek feedback and gain insights from mistakes; you are open to criticism and are not defensiveTrustworthy : you are honest and consider discretion and confidentiality a priorityMust make Lincoln Berean Church their home church and participate in the life of the community (Life Group).At Lincoln Berean Church, we fully expect each staff member to be actively engaged in following Jesus and believe that if this commitment to Jesus is present, it will be evident in a staff member's personal life, family relationships, and ministry.
