HR Assistant

Job Title: HR Assistant
Location: Darien, CT
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00/hr
Type: 3-month contract

Responsibilities

• Sorting and reviewing files by type (Personnel/Medical)
• Logging files by Active/Terminated Trackers, including retention review details and transmitting files to HR Ops
• Boxing files and grouping files with similar years together whenever possible (for example, 2018-2019 or 2020-2021)
• Coordinating pickup dates with HROps
• Handoff of files to Iron Mountain

• Entry level HR position with 0-2 years’ experience. Internship experience desired.
• Must have excellent customer service skill and be able interact well with others.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask with excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver new associate and benefit presentations as required.
• Requires some knowledge of human resources principles and practices (either through study and/or application).
• Ability to detect and improve processes and procedures.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize advanced features in Word, Excel, and on-line eligibility system required.

• Manufacturing environment experience
• SAP experience
