Cameo Consulting Group, LLC a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA, is seeking qualified and available HR Classification Support to provide Support Services to our client, DHS-OIG. The position is part-time, fully remote. 

General Duties:

  • Provide services in the Staffing and Classification Division (SCD)
  • Classify positions using the FES and/or Supervisory or narrative format in accordance with OPM classification standards and regulations.
  • Perform comprehensive analysis and evaluation of positions descriptions involving complex mix series, professional series and multi-grade levels through GS-15, and Senior Level, as well as classification issues of unusual complexity.
  • Develop, write, and create position descriptions and evaluation statements from scratch.
  • Perform extensive analysis of proposed reorganizations/realignments and develop recommendations for management.
  • Perform comprehensive organizational studies and prepare mission and functions statements, organizational charts.
  • Work with the Reorganization Coordinator in all aspects of the reorganization process and its implementation for assigned reorganizations.
  • Provide insight or opinions to senior HR Classification Specialists on the approach to handling complex classification issues.
  • Provide sound decision making and definitive interpretation of OPM regulations and classification procedures and guidelines for the establishment of position descriptions and appropriate organizational structures.
  • Conduct research and apply appropriate laws/legislation to complex classifications and position management issues.
  • Utilize the automated PD library associated with Agency position descriptions and upload various PD documents to SharePoint.
  • Conduct position reviews/desk audit and special classification studies, as requested.
  • Upon request, meets with management representatives to discuss position management.

QUALIFCATIONS:

· 5 years of Federal experience in classification management

· 5 years of Human Resource Federal experience

· Must have experience with USA staffing

· Must pass a background check
