Local property management company is seeking an organized, detail-oriented entry-level HR Generalist to support the HR function across our portfolio of 25 multifamily communities and approximately 100 employees. This is a great opportunity for an early-career HR professional to gain broad, hands-on experience in payroll, onboarding, and employee relations while working closely with corporate HR, property teams and regional leadership.
This is an on-site position based out of our regional/corporate office.
Responsibilities of this Position
Payroll Support
Assist with processing bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for employees across all 25 communities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Track and verify hours, PTO, and other pay-related data submitted by site teams
Help resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee pay questions
Maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with company policy and applicable law
Onboarding
Coordinate new hire paperwork, background checks, and orientation logistics for new team members across the portfolio
Set up new employees in HR/payroll systems and ensure a smooth first-day experience
Serve as a point of contact for new hires during their first weeks, answering benefits and policy questions
Maintain onboarding checklists and ensure required documentation is complete and compliant
Employee Relations
Serve as an approachable first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and general HR matters.
Help document and escalate employee relations concerns to the HR Manager/Director as needed
Support consistent application of company policies across all communities
Assist with maintaining employee files and ensuring recordkeeping compliance
General HR Support
Help maintain accurate employee data across HR systems
Assist with HR-related reporting and audits
Support other HR projects and initiatives as needed
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
0–2 years of HR, payroll, or administrative experience (internships welcome)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive/confidential information
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to support multiple locations at once
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working with HRIS and payroll systems (training provided)
A proactive, friendly, and people first customer-service mindset — you enjoy helping people and solving problems
Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues
