Salary Range: $61,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

This posting covers HR Generalist opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Escanaba in Delta County, within about 45 minutes of the city, including Gladstone, Bark River, and Cedarville.

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing firms in the Escanaba area that seek skilled HR Generalists. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and look for professionals who can contribute effectively. Usual Responsibilities

• Administer attendance tracking, leave of absence requests, and FMLA paperwork.
• Support safety program administration and incident reporting.
• Help prepare HR metrics and reports for plant leadership.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee questions about policies, benefits, and payroll.
• Support recruiting for hourly production and skilled trades roles, including screening and scheduling interviews.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and required pre-employment checks.
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data entry with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• to 4 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment law.
• Experience with HRIS systems and timekeeping software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on site across multiple shifts.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Experience with hourly workforce recruiting and high-volume hiring.
• Familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping and safety compliance.
• Prior experience in union or non-union production environments.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
