Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for administering a broad range of human resources programs and initiatives that support the Seminary's mission, employees, and organizational objectives. This position is expected to work between 28 and 40 hours per week, based on departmental and organizational needs. Working collaboratively with the Associate Vice President for Human Resources, the HR Generalist serves as a key partner in delivering efficient, compliant, and employee-centered HR services across the employee lifecycle. Responsibilities include payroll administration, recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS management, employee relations support, compliance, performance management, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives.
The HR Generalist works closely with faculty, staff, supervisors, and institutional leadership to provide guidance on HR policies, respond to and resolve employee inquiries, and continuously improve HR processes and services. This role is expected to proactively identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen the employee experience, and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and Seminary policies. The HR Generalist will also contribute to strategic Human Resources initiatives that support the Seminary's mission and overall organizational success.
