Description

POSITION SUMMARYThis position supports the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, leaves of absence, payroll support, compliance, safety initiatives, training, and employee engagement. The HR Generalist II applies sound judgment, maintains confidentiality, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and partners with HR Leadership to ensure consistent application of policies and practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Administer and support key HR programs, including recruiting, onboarding, training, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, payroll-related processes, and employee engagement initiatives with limited supervision.Work to remotely support employees and managers at our WA HeadquartersServe as a point of contact for employee and manager questions, providing timely guidance on HR policies, payroll, benefits, attendance, workplace practices, and related employee support needs.Support employee relations and manager effectiveness by gathering information, documenting concerns, coaching managers, assisting with performance management, corrective action, employee development, and escalating complex or high-risk issues as appropriate.Maintain accurate and confidential HRIS, SharePoint, personnel, payroll, compliance, job description, policy, handbook, and required notice records in electronic and paper formats.Prepare, maintain, and support bi-weekly payroll activities, including payroll reports, recordkeeping, issue review, action planning, and coordination with internal or third-party partners.Lead or coordinate recurring HR, safety, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives, including committees, audits, training follow-up, employee appreciation events, reporting, and employee communications.Monitor labor and employment requirements, assist with policy development and implementation, identify process gaps, and recommend practical improvements to increase consistency, compliance, employee experience, and HR service delivery.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE5 or more years of progressive HR generalist experience, including payroll, benefits, leaves of absence, recruitment, employee relations, safety, and compliance responsibilities, required.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, required.Experience supporting managers with employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation, required.

COMPUTER SKILLSIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, Office 365, SharePoint, HRIS systems, and payroll or expense platforms preferred. Experience with Dayforce or a similar HRIS system and Concur. Ability to learn and pivot in new systems is a requirement.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDSMust be able to lift 25 pounds and move 50 pounds. Must be able to sit, stand, type, click a mouse, look at a computer screen, talk on the phone for prolonged periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment is office space with occasional time in a warehouse setting.
