LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in Detroit, MI in their search for an experienced Staff Accountant who is bilingual in Arabic and English. This is a hybrid, contract-to-hire opportunity offering competitive compensation, paid parking, and healthcare benefit options through LHH for eligible employees who elect coverage.

We are seeking an accounting professional with strong attention to detail, solid general accounting experience, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts

• Complete balance sheet and bank account reconciliations

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation

• Research and resolve account discrepancies

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed

• Assist with audit requests and financial reporting

• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation

• Collaborate with accounting and finance team members on special projects and reporting needs

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Arabic and English

• Previous Staff Accountant or general accounting experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, but not required

• Strong understanding of general accounting principles

• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
